Blog #2 - Twitter

I think twitter is a great place learn educational strategies that can help enhance my teaching practice. As most people are familiar and would prefer to use technology, this can be a space where I can stay connected to my class and parents and be able to share the learning progress and successes in my classroom.

This can also be a good way to network with other individuals who are passionate about education and gain feedback and have conversations about what us as teachers can improve or build on.

However, since social media is such a broad space, we as teachers need to be safe and consider what we are posting. I believe it would be best if we were to stay as a private account and stay connected to our community that way. Again, following our professional responsibilities, we as teachers have to ensure that we are not sharing any private or sensitive information. There are many ways we can share our experiences on our blog posts without crossing any boundaries.

  1. I think you're going to be a great teacher, especially with your optimism with Twitter and how you plan to implement strategies to enhance your teaching my being able to network with others.
You cautiousness with the openness of the internet is also very well put.
I wonder how well me can keep private in private teacher communities, how can we as teachers build it, the prospect interests me.

  2. Social media in general is a topic we all need to be aware of, especially with safety concerns. I think you have a great handle on the professional responsibilities of being a teacher in a technical world.
